3.What did Rod Blagojevich accuse U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald of?
Rod Blagojevich accused Patrick Fitzgerald for hiding evidence that could prove his innocence. He stated " I challenge Mr. Fitzgerald...Why don't you show up in court tomorrow and explain to everybody, explain to the whole world why you don't want the tapes that you made played in court?-Damar Jones
4.What else did prosecutors also accused Rod Blagojevich of?
Summary
A former Illinois governor was convicted of corruption. His sentence was set at a maximum of a 14 year term. He had stated in front of a crowd "This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but this is the law and we follow the law." This statement seems a bit awkward considering that he has broken the law and that is the reason he is going to prison. But at the same time I feel he shouldn’t be given such a long period of time in jail. He will be serving his sentence at Federal Correctional Institution Englewood, southwest of Denver. But an U.S. Attorney ,Patrick Fitzgerald, was accused by Blagojevich of hiding evidence that could prove his innocence. In fact, Blagojevich stated "I challenge Mr. Fitzgerald ... Why don't you show up in court tomorrow and explain to everybody, explain to the whole world why you don't want the tapes that you made played in court?" There are many things that he is being accused of that he should be convicted for but at the same time he claims Patrick Fitzgerald is withholding evidence of his innocence. So for now I am torn by whether he is guilty or not guilty.
Final Comments : I can't really say if I agree with what Glenn Selig said. I don't really now much about Rod Blagojevich before this. But I know that I feel he shouldn't be arrested for such a long period of time. He didn't deserve this long penalty behind bars.
